     Two Service Members Graduate from the "Police Leadership Program"

Chief Bruce J. Davis of the South Simcoe Police Service is pleased to announce that two Staff Sergeant's have successfully completed the challenging "Police Leadership Program" at the Joseph L. Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto.

Staff Sergeant Lisa Hunt, a 21-year veteran and Staff Sergeant Steve Wilson, a 20 -year veteran graduated from the "Police Leadership Program"
on Saturday, May 2, 2009. This is the first time the South Simcoe Police Service has participated in this world renowned program - (see attached photo of Chief Bruce J.Davis with Staff Sergeant Lisa Hunt and Staff Sergeant Steve Wilson).

This is an MBA-style program for police leaders from around the world and in Canada was developed in partnership with the Joseph L. Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto and the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police. It is an intensive three-week course that focuses on police leadership, financial management, human resources and effective communications.

 

2009 marks the 10th anniversary of this program that is offered once a year . This latest class represented 17 police services from across the province of Ontario as well as the United Nations and the United Arab Emirates.

Chief Bruce J. Davis extends his sincere congratulations to Staff Sergeant Lisa Hunt and Staff Sergeant Steve Wilson on their completion of this challenging program and a job well done !
