To receive a copy of a police report for insurance purposes:
Who can obtain an incident summary?
An incident summary will only be released to:
- the person or company directly involved (a person picking up an an incident summary on behalf of a company must have written documentation from the company authorizing the pick-up).
- a law firm representing the person involved; or
- the insurance company of the person involved.
How do I obtain an incident summary?
Individuals, law firms and insurance companies can obtain an incident summary by:
Forwarding a written request to our mailing address.

Requests be in writing and must include the reason for the request, the General Occurence number (if known), the officer's name or badge number, the victim's full name, address, date and location of damage or loss, and a telephone number where a representative can be reached during normal business hours.
FEE: $40.00
All requests must include a cheque or money order payable to South Simcoe Police Service. For walk-in requests, payment may be, debit card, Visa, MasterCard or certified cheque or money order payable to the South Simcoe Police Service
