(Bradford, ON) On Wednesday, August 9, 2017, at 3:40 a.m., South Simcoe Police Service officers were operating a R.I.D.E. spot check on Bridge Street in Bradford. A car was stopped at the spot check and the driver was recognized as being under suspension. The 22 year old Bradford man was charged with Drive Under Suspension. He was given a court date in September and his car seized for 7 days.
A passenger in the car was intoxicated. He too was recognized by the officers and it was confirmed that he was on a bail condition to abstain from alcohol. A 24 year old Bradford man was arrested and held in custody for a bail hearing on a charge of Fail To Comply-Recognizance.

(Bradford, ON) On Tuesday, August 8, 2017, just before 7:00 p.m., South Simcoe Police Service were called to the Pioneer gas station in Bradford. A witness told officers that a man operating a recreational vehicle had struck a building on the property then driven south into York Region.
A South Simcoe Police officer familiar with the suspect went to the man's Holland Landing home in an attempt to locate him and also alerted York Regional Police of the suspect vehicle.
York officers stopped and arrested the driver in Kettleby. He was brought to the South Simcoe Police Service South Division for breath testing.
During the investigation, it was confirmed that the man was prohibited for driving for life due to two previous impaired driving convictions and was also on bail, with a condition not to be in the driver's seat of a motor vehicle.
A 50 year old Holland Landing man was released to a September court date, charged with Impaired Driving, Dangerous Driving, Drive Over 80 mgs, 2 counts of Drive Disqualified and 2 counts of Fail To Comply Undertaking.
