The South Simcoe Police Service operates a cruiser equipped with an Automated Licence Plate Reader. This device automatically reads nearby licence plates and compares them to a database looking for violations. If you are suspended, or your vehicle is stolen, uninsured or otherwise out of compliance, the device alerts the operator who can then stop your car and investigate.
